I Started (Re)Playing(Ish) Far Cry 3

So last year I played through Far Cry 5, and I really really loved it, it was a great game, and the first Far Cry I beat. I bought Far Cry 3 back in 2020(2021?) and played a bit but only to the first few chapters of it (hence why I put 'ish so I am really only replaying the first 2 chapters). I was going to play through another Far Cry game then as far as I remember, but I had a trip and such and got distracted (ADHD for ya).

But recently I have been in the mood to play a shooter, and I remembered Far Cry 3 from the copypasta. See bellow if you forgot.

So I decided to give it another go, and I like it. I started last weekend, but am playing some more this weekend Yeah that's pretty much it for Far Cry 3; Good game (so far at least).

I LOVE The Song Lisztomania

So me and a mate have been playing throught the Life Is Strange games, and I have been enjoying the soundtrack (and the games themelves) quite. Every weekend (we try at least) to complete a chapter.

So about 3 (4? 5?) weeks ago now, we started Life Is Strange 2, and the song Lithomania was playing in the opening see here:



And then I was hooked, I had to Shazam it but after it has been a goto song! Also Lisztomania, Lis + tomania -> to -> mania, LIS -> Life is Strange? Get it, probblay a coincidence or maybe not see here:



Oh also even our politicians love this song! One of my favourite representatives, representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York's 19th district likes this song, or at leastdanced to it. I mean this is when see was in school, it was 2010 at Boston Universty, way before see ever ran in 2018. Side note she also has a birthday close to mine (which is coming up so wowzers I guess), which is a cool tidbid as well. I think the song is supposed to be sort of a refrence to this thing which was a huge hype for some music guy. Oh also as a little tidbit, they're French. The music video (and the lyrics) really don't make me think of that thing (I am saying thing because I hate spelling that word), just happiniess and joy. I Have Been On The Hunt To Find A Damn C# Networking Libary For Games That Ain't Dead

Yeah I am working on a little multiplayer game for me and my mates, and I am at the point where I have to deal with the netcode. I really don't wanna deal with the pain in the assery of sockets and doing it all myself, so I have been on the search for a libary that can help. But it has been kind of a pain, they're either too spefic or too old. The wrost thing too is my useal goto for MonoGame libarys which is here has only really one thing for it, the other thing is dead in the water.

So I first thought about Backdash but that is way more taliored for Fighting-Games rather than what I am working on. I'll probbaly make a full article on that game this weekend, but I am still in fairly early days. Then I remember RakNet from Terraria but that's dead and maybe paid. And even the free reimplemtions and binds are dead, like this one, and this one, and the list goes on. I also heard of of another thing that is also dead called Lidgren.

Ultimatly I think I am going to bed (it is like 1:45 am right now spent so long blogging lol), and go with this I think I am just gonna YOLO this and hope it works otherwise it's sockets and tears for me (well I guess we are probbaly using sockets lower level and all but this just abstracts it). I cannot spell cannot I.
